Hollywood Extreme Adventures

During the summer of 2003, founder Dean Cudworth landed a job teaching stunts to kids at Pali Mountain in Lake Arrowhead, California. Over the next three years, Dean created a plan to create a full training program in the Los Angeles area.

In 2006 Dean, along with his partner James LaVitola, formed Hollywood Extreme Adventures: Stunt School for Kids. The school offers a ten week course where kids can learn the basics of stunts. From falls to fights, the kids will prepare everything they learn and produce their own live stunt show at the end of the ten weeks.

In addition to the actual performance fundamentals, the kids will also learn the importance of safety while performing, how to set up pads, as well as the realities of what it's like to work as a professional stunt performer in Hollywood. Combined with discipline, respect, and fun, Hollywood Extreme Adventures will be an experience they will never forget.

Dean Cudworth - Founder/President
Dean has been performing since the age of twelve and studied theater at Bowling Green
State University. After college, Dean performed in live stunt shows for Universal Studios
and Disney as well as shows in Chicago, Holland, and Taiwan (some of his roles included
playing the Deacon in Universal’s Waterworld Stunt Show as well as the Joker in the
Batman Stunt Show). Dean also served as the stunt director for Pali Overnight Adventures
from 2002 through 2006. His on camera credits include 24, Without A Trace, Charmed, and
most recently Columbia Pictures’ Next opposite Nicolas Cage.

James LaVitola - Co-Founder
While still in high school, James landed one of the leading roles in Three from Brooklyn, the Broadway show which jump-started his career. With a background in martial arts, kickboxing and gymnastics, combined with his performance background, James has established himself to be quite a unique athletic performer. James has performed in such blockbuster films as Friday Night Lights, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and Gridiron Gang just to name a few.
